Description

Kids Robotics Program Curriculum Plan
Age Group: 5 to 10 years
Frequency: Twice a week
Duration: Year-long, continuous learning
Methodology: Fun and Learn with hands-on activities, play-based learning using DIY kits, STEM Lego Robotics Kits, and STEM Science Kits.

Key Objectives:

  1. Build foundational robotics and STEM knowledge through hands-on exploration.
  2. Develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative innovation skills.
  3. Encourage curiosity and a love for science, engineering, and robotics.
  4. Prepare kids for advanced robotics projects when they turn 10 and above.
  5. Create a continuous engagement model with diverse, new kits added regularly.

Program Structure:

Each week consists of two sessions, each lasting 1.5–2 hours, blending structured lessons, hands-on activities, and free exploration.
The curriculum will cover:

  1. Introduction to Robotics Concepts: Basics of robotics, sensors, motors, and simple programming concepts.
  2. Hands-on Kit Exploration: Building various robots and machines with Lego Robotics Kits and STEM Science Kits.
  3. Thematic Challenges and Competitions: Weekly/bi-weekly mini-competitions to make learning fun and rewarding.
  4. STEM Foundations: Focus on engineering, physics, and math concepts related to robotics.
  5. Soft Skill Development: Collaboration, communication, and teamwork through group projects.

Course Curriculum

1. Initial Orientation (Week 1)
Goal: Familiarize students with the academy, kits, and basic safety and handling of robotic kits. Activities: Explore different kits through demonstrations. Build a simple machine/robot using Lego kits, like a spinning fan or a small car.

2. Thematic Learning Modules (4-Week Cycles)
Each cycle introduces a new theme, with specific projects and skills to focus on:
